On April 25, 1987, Arijit Singh was born in Jiaganj, Murshidabad, West Bengal, to Aditi Singh, a Bengali Hindu mother, and Kakkar Singh, a Punjabi Sikh father. His fatherly family came from Lahore during the Segment. He began his musical education very early on at home. His maternal auntie prepared Indian old-style music, and his maternal grandma used to sing.

His maternal uncle played the tabla, and his mother furthermore sang and played the tabla. He learned at Raja Bijay Singh Secondary School and later at the Sripat Singh School, a College of Kalyani auxiliary. He claims that his parents decided to train him to be a professional musician because he “was a decent student, but cared more about music.” Rajendra Prasad Hazari taught him Indian classical music, and Dhirendra Prasad Hazari taught him how to play the tabla.

He learned pop music and Rabindra Sangeet, which are songs that Rabindranath Tagore wrote and composed. At three years old, he began preparing under the Hazari siblings, and at nine years old, he got a grant from the public authority for preparing vocals in Indian traditional music. Starting Career and Achieving Fame 2005.

Singh’s melodic profession started when his master Rajendra Prasad Hazari, who felt that “Indian old style music was a perishing custom”, demanded he leave his old neighborhood and takes part in the unscripted TV drama Distinction Gurukul (2005) at 18 years old.

With a sixth-place finish in the audience poll, he was eliminated. Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the director, saw his talent and asked him to sing “Yun Shabnami,” a song that will be used in his upcoming film Saawariya. The script was changed during production, and Singh’s version was removed. It was rarely delivered.

After the Popularity of Gurukul, Kumar Taurani, the head of Tips, signed him for a collection that was rarely delivered. He won the unscripted television drama 10 Ke 10 Le Gaye Dil. He decided to move to Mumbai in 2006 to be independent, He put away the award cash of ₹1 million from 10 ke 10 Le Gaye Dil to fabricate his recording studio. He turned into a music maker and started creating music and singing pieces for ads, news channels, and radio broadcasts.

Pritam and Singh began collaborating on three films in 2010: Golmaal 3, Crook, and Action Replay. In the Telugu film industry, he made his singing debut with the song “Neeve Na Neeve Na” from the 2010 film Kedi. In 2011, he made his Bollywood musical debut with the Mithoon composition “Phir Mohabbat” from Murder 2.

In 2014, Singh performed two songs from Main Tera Hero and Heropanti’s “Raat Bhar”. He also dubbed the Hindi version of “Medhuvaagathaan” from Kochadaiiyaan for A. R. Rahman, which was titled “Dil Chaspiya.” He delivered three re-mixed songs : Yaariyan’s “Hungama Ho Gaya” by Amit Trivedi and Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’s “Samjhawan” by Sharib-Toshi.

He delivered his voice for “Mast Magan” from 2 States, “Jiya” from Gunday, as well as “Aaj Phir” from Hate Story 2. Singh sang two songs from Haider’s “Jaise Mera Tu” in Happy Ending.
